New Year's Eve Weekend Fête

This weekend is what we dream of when we think of winter, warmth, intimacy and tango.  

Three days will be spent enjoying unique connectivity experiences that incorporate mind body and self awareness. Our offerings include a number of different choose "as you wish" classes in restorative body work, yoga for tango,  as well as mindful tea times and coffee & donut pick me ups!

Donato Juarez

Donato is our special surprise guest and DJ.  Bio coming soon.

In short,  those of you who have been to the milongas he has DJ'd will know what a party feel he creates with his well intentioned tandas and danceable cortinas that make you not want to rest. Donato is our current US Champion of Tango de Pista and has been a renowned teacher, dancer and theatrical leading dancer in many of Parasol Arts productions

El Espejero (DJ Igor) from Toronto 

Igor says : "I believe that it is the dance floor that dictates the choices to the DJ, not the other way around. Thus, I neither program my music in advance of the event, nor I attempt to 'educate' or 'challenge'  the dancers. My only goal is to deliver the best danceable music and abundant energy to the floor, from the first to the last tanda, without a single exception"

DJ and musician Grisha Nisnevich from Denver 

Grisha is not only one our favorite DJs in Denver but also a outstanding musician and an accomplished tango dancer and performer.  We have been delighted by his music for many years and are so happy he will represent Denver in our NYE weekend with this amazing line up!

For our Experimental milongas, get excited for 

DJ  Tara Fortier 

Tara has been a DJ of traditional and alternative tango music since 2005.  Dancing and teaching both roles have given her a broader perspective on how leaders and followers are differently moved by music. She believes it is the Dj's role to work with the energy of the room to create fun and a positive atmosphere for the dancers.  she has DJ'd at several large national festivals in the U.S. and Canada

DJ Sarah Genung

Sarah has been dancing tango since 2005 when she was a teenager in WA state but has been dancing in some capacity since she could walk. Whether it was growing up with ballet, belly dancing in restaurants or capoeira in the streets, dance has always been an essential part of her life with tango closest to her heart. She is ignited by the magic of improvisation and connection in the milonga as strongly as telling a story through performance. In addition to being a dancer, Sarah is also a tango DJ who started discovering how to structure tandas in 2013 in a cozy neighborhood milonga in her college town and has since played at events across the country. She loves spinning tunes that light up dancer’s eyes and creating dynamic energy to carry your feet throughout the night.

DJ James Valentino

James is a passionate and dedicated tango teacher, DJ and organizer of the Motown Tango Marathon in Detroit, Michigan. James has been teaching and DJing for over a decade, and his enthusiasm for the tango is evident when meeting him. James has a unique style that combines his love of music with his love for many dance styles, tango being the apex. He always makes sure to connect with his guests, and his energy and enthusiasm on the dance floor is contagious. With his drive and creativity, James is making a lasting impression in the tango world. He is constantly pushing himself to stay ahead of the curve and explore new music genres as well as the many golden age orchestras. James is passionate about connecting with other dancers, DJs and teachers and learning from their experiences, making him a true student and master of the craft.

There will be pop up surprises and a festive 1920's "21st Century Style" masquerade party, New Years Eve, with a celebratory champagne toast to ring in the new year.

Friday we begin our milongas at 3.

The newly restored Savoy in the RiNo arts district of Denver, is the most elegant and beautiful place to gather and dance.  The capacity will be capped at 150.   Friendship, kindness, community, and inclusivity are what we are about.  

We also have our newest venue The Sanctuary!  We will offer Thursday opening party and milonga with DJ Mete and our closing sunset after party on Monday the 1st, along with yoga and connectivity exeperiences in the late mornings.

We are offering a special rate for our subscribers and the first to register for this all inclusive tango experience.  We are putting our team of creatives together to bring you something unique and unforgettable!   

$250 single pass and $275 pass with Thursday

$400 special weekend pass for two 

$450 includes Thursday night for two "out of towners pre party" in the Loft ...limited availabiltyt try to register with a dancer of opposite role

Single day and milonga passes available as well

Lodging is available thru Airbnb.  There are beautiful homes and apts available in the Curtis Park, RiNo neigborhoods within walking distance to the Savoy and an eclectic array of excellent restaurants, cafe's and shopping.  Consider a group of friends renting an entire tango house.

We have an amazing community of teachers that are joining us to offer 15 minute power tango classes
